Terms and Conditions
We are glad to have you and your kid with us! We work to provide quality development learning with fun.
To be able to run our activities we do require a full term prepayment to help us plan and stay focused.
For new enrolments:
Students should be enrolled in the beginning of the term and can only begin lessons once a full term payment has been received.
Please note we cannot credit untaken lessons for upcoming terms.
How do we work?
- We run with the NSW school terms calendar.
- The timetables are going to be published by Paddington School email by now.
- Generally, students take one lesson per week during a ten-week term.
- A spot in the class is secured when:
- An enrolment form is completed and submitted.
- A full-term prepayment has been received and
- A payment receipt has been generated.
The payment option details we will send you, when we get the enrolment form filled by you.
You can find the term price on the Enrolment page
Ongoing enrolment:
How does it work?
Ongoing students enjoy a priority renewal every term.
On week 7 of the current term, you will receive an email to confirm your kids’ attendance for the following term. Please reply with one of these:
Yes, I want to continue:
Great! A new payment receipt will be issued for the upcoming term.
You will have two weeks to pay and secure the spot.
If we do not receive a payment, we will open up the spot to the waiting list.
No, I do not want to continue:
Sorry to see you go. No further action is required, but we would love to get feedback from you. It helps us grow and improve.
What happen if you need to cancel?
You can cancel and get 100% refund if the notification is done 5 days before the term started. In this case, please send an email to [email protected] with the subject Cancelation and your bank account information in the email body.
What happen if you need to cancel during the term?
Things happen, and we understand if you need to cancel unexpectedly. In this case, please send an email to [email protected] stating the date of cancellation. Sorry, we won’t be able to make a refund or offer make-up lessons.
Changes to Lesson Fees for oncoming terms
We are committed to keep our fees as low as possible. However, sometimes we will have to adjust our fees. In this case, we will give you notice on week 6 of the current term, before the next enrollment process starts.
You can have a discount if:
You enrolled siblings. (First kid fees would be full price, and second and ongoing siblings will get a 10% discount).
Make-up Lessons:
If your kid misses a lesson and you want to have a make-up session, please note:
Make-up lessons are valid for the current term that the notified class was missed. Unused lessons cannot be transferred to the next term.
We will do our best, but make-up lessons are not guaranteed as we do not overbook our lessons.
To book a make-up lesson:
Notify via email or text message with at least 12 hours’ notice. If notice is not provided within this required timeframe, you would not be eligible for a make-up lesson.
Preferably, make-up lessons should be taken during the same week as the missed class at the same level/age group. We suggest this to ensure the continuity of our curriculum.
For make-up lessons, we cannot guarantee specific teachers, days, or times. We will do our best, though to cater to your preferences.
If a make-up lesson is missed, it cannot be re-booked. Sorry!
Photos & videos
We are not going to take photos or videos during the Spanish lessons.
If you are staying in the lesson, you are welcome to capture your kid speaking Spanish on camera. However, be mindful that a language lesson requires minimal distractions. We appreciate your deference to all students, teachers and fellow parents.
Student’s Behaviour /Rules and routines.
Effective learning requires structure and flexibility. Some things need to be taught by repetition and focus; others by play.
La Clase spanish lessons classroom rules.
Explain the importance of practices to have a safe environment to learn.
Explain the consequences of not following the rules as follow:
First warning: (No sticker at the end of the class).
Second warning: (No sticker and no stamp at the end of the class).
Third warning: (The child will be removed from the mat area and sit by himself/herself in the big table for three minutes or until they feel they are ready to join the class).
If a child has been given three warnings during three or more consecutive lessons, we will email parents advising them on the behaviour.
If we need to send two or more emails to parents during a term, we reserves the right to suspend the student from the class and cancel his/her enrolment. In this case, we won’t make a refund.
Communication, understanding and assertiveness in every class.
We understand that not all days are good days and not two children are the same. Some days we are not in a good mood. Kids can be misunderstood as problematic when maybe they’re just tired.
When encountering any of these situations, the teacher will always:
Address the child in an empathetic and calm manner.
Will do his/her best to strive for a change in behaviour before giving a warning.
Will work closely with the student and parents ( if required) to manage behaviour through a personalised “behaviour contract”. Under no circumstances a student can leave the classroom until the end of the lesson, and a parent/caregiver collects him/her from the classroom’s front door.
